Promotoras

Promotoras play an important role in Enlace Comunitario’s outreach program.  The promotoras are selected after a rigorous application and interview process at the beginning of each year. We specifically request that members of the local immigrant community apply.   Once the promotoras are selected, they participate in a six week intensive leadership, community outreach and advocacy training curriculum.  After the training, each promotora signs a contract to complete four community presentations during the year.  The promotoras also help Enlace Comunitario by developing various publicity materials, such as radio ads, promotional literature and television commercials.
