Legal Director

The Domestic Violence Legal Director represents Enlace Comunitario’s clients and supervises the legal work of the department.  The legal director must be an experienced and effective attorney, mentor and trainer.  The legal director must lead the legal team in collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team at Enlace and work well with court personnel, other agencies and community members. The Legal Director is part of the leadership team and will work collaboratively to further Enlace’s mission

Required:  State of New Mexico Bar License or out of state license eligible for NM licensure. At least three years of family law practice experience for legal director position.  Spanish/ English bilingual ability.

Preferred: Preference will be given to individuals with experience working with domestic violence, immigrant rights and /or social justice issues.

Staff Attorney

 Under direction from the Legal Director, a Staff Attorney provides legal representation in Orders of Protection Hearings, Dissolution of Marriage, Petitions to Establish Paternity, prepares legal research, gives legal advice, provides legal and policy analysis of issues, develops Continuing Legal education training, and other duties as assigned. These duties may be performed for clients in Bernalillo, Sandoval or Valencia county District Courts.

Required: State Bar License of out of state license eligible for NM licensure. Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Preferred: No previous work experience is required but knowledge of Family Law principles and procedures is preferred.

VISTA Member

Enlace Comunitario is recruiting a bilingual (English/Spanish) VISTA Member to join our team. VISTA Members work behind the scenes to assist us in strengthening our current programs through fundraising, volunteer recruitment, event planning, and educational programming.
